IPowerE Power Conference

 IPowerE Power Conference

Power Technologies for a Sustainable Future

  2 – 4 November 2026
Hilton Hotel East Midlands Airport Derby

Call for Papers

IPowerE now invites the submission of abstracts for papers to be presented at its 2026 Power Generation Technologies Conference to be held on 2, 3 & 4 November 2026 at the Hilton Hotel, East Midlands Airport, Derby, UK.

This conference builds on the established and acclaimed international IDGTE biennial Gas Turbine conference events first held 25 years ago and the 2022 & 2024 Power Technologies conference. where the genre and topics were broadened to cover a range of technologies including storage, nuclear and renewables alongside conventional gas-fired technology.  That theme continues with the 2026 conference and, as such, offering a unique opportunity to present a paper on the latest developments in power generation engineering, technology and application.

Theme:

It is accepted that the energy mix and energy networks will need to adapt to a more sustainable future.  Projects developed today will be required to suit the future energy needs, with innovation in power technologies a key factor in successfully adapting to sustainability.  Greater deployment of latest technologies delivers greater grid stability, lower carbon intensity and meeting the future energy needs.  This IPowerE conference provides an opportunity to hear and discuss the latest developments in power generation technologies that are intended to meet the need for a sustainable future, covering established conventional technologies and innovative solutions, set in the context of design, operation, development, and project execution with papers from key participants in the energy sector.

Topics:

The conference will explore a range of technical, commercial and policy requirements of current and future end users and those which now influence investment decisions for a variety of generation technologies.

The conference will also seek to identify further trends and market differentiation, which may drive future developments comparing the technology developments with the experience and needs of operators for existing plants and future investments.

The topics being covered during the conference will include, but not restricted to:

Changes in Policy
The Future of Energy Supply
Planning for Future Changes
Implications for established technology, renewable, and non-renewable
Support for Intermittent Renewable Energy
Novel concepts & New Technology Developments
Gas-Fired Power Generation
Marine propulsion
Renewable Integration
Fuel Flexibility
Grid Stability
Energy Storage
Operation and Maintenance Considerations

This is an excellent opportunity to present to an international audience.
