Developments in UK Power Supply
1947-2007

During the discussion that followed the presentation by Peter Tottman on the Life of a CCGT at IPowerE’sPapers Day: CCGT -Modelling, Upgrade, and Lifetime Management at RWE Generation UK, Ferrybridge, on 17th May 2016 reference was made to a booklet written by Ian Burdon – Developments in UK Power Supply 1947 – 2007.

This booklet gives an invaluable insight into the underpinning reasons for the UK power generation industry undergoing structural changes from private to public and back to private. This subject is particularly interesting as the industry faces an uncertainty in the second decade of the 21st century. Ian Burdon has kindly made his booklet is available from the IPowerE website.
