Forthcoming events for your diary
The Anson Engine Museum Annual “Mid-summer Mingle”
Will take place on Wednesday 24th June from 2pm until 7.30pm
It will include the “Mirrlees Reunion” and members of other Engine and Engineering Companies are also warmly invited to join us.
A sausage BBQ is included in the £8 entry fee, (free to museum members) and drinks and other refreshments will be available to purchase.
It will be a good opportunity to catch up on what’s been happening at the museum, particularly the development of the large engine displays in the Chris Bowden Memorial Building, the 1938 MAN diesel engine and the belt driven workshop kindly donated by the late Mr R. R. Hall and his family, from their home in North Wales. Mr Hall was a descendant of one of the directors of the world’s largest textile machinery manufacturers, Platt Brothers of Oldham.
We look forward to catching up with many friends, old and new.
Please pass on this invitation to others you feel may be interested.
