THE 2019 OPERATIONAL REPORT INVITATION

IPowerE (formerly known as IDGTE) is delighted to have successfully published the 2018 Operational Report covering the years 2015-2017 and thanks all who contributed to the report. On behalf of the working group it is my pleasure to invite you to submit a return for the 2019 Operational Report.

We are inviting all past contributors and new contributors to send in returns for reciprocating engines, gas turbines, combined cycle power plants, renewable energy and other power generating facilities for a twelve month period. We hope that you will be interested in helping us to continue this work by submitting a return for the 2019 Operational Report, helping us make this a great success.

In line with our expanded field of interest the new return format gives the opportunity for all sectors of the power generation industry to take part in the next report which will provide analysis, guidance and benchmark performance indices to users of engines and power generation facilities worldwide. Whilst Contributors are encouraged to provide returns in each of the categories, all returns will be welcomed including those in a single category. We can accept returns to be published anonymously.

The Annual Operational Report, has been in existence since 1923 and formerly known as the Working Cost Report, is a unique compilation of data covering 95 years being of value to organisations worldwide, including plant owners, operators, financial bodies, manufacturers and consulting engineers.  The Operational Report, being one of a number of technical papers presented and published by IPowerE each year, has included returns from more than 30 countries and at its peak 166 power stations, 600 prime movers, with an installed capacity of around 2,500Mwe. You are invited to help us to achieve this target by sending in your return.

All those contributing to the 2019 report will receive a copy of the full results as soon as they have been compiled and also the printed report when it is issued. Contributors will also be invited to join the Ops Report discussion meeting to be held during 2020.

Please visit the web site and download the guidance notes and forms. Returns may be sent in at any time, however, we request that these are sent in by 31 January 2020. The guidance notes and return forms together with a sample return are available to down load from the IPowerE web site:  http://ipowere.org/operational_report.html
